The Title Drop

Lois P. Jones, host of KPFK’s long running Poets Cafe for 17 years, is now hosting **The Title Drop,** a monthly podcast that features interviews with poets and storytellers, with a primary focus on the “title or title poem” of their respective collections.

Through these conversations, guests share the inspirations and craft techniques behind their most significant works.

In addition, **The Title Drop** serves as a practical resource for the literary community. Guests offer tips and guidance to help fellow poets navigate the often-difficult task of titling their own collections. By combining personal storytelling, professional craft advice, and evocative poetry readings, the show provides listeners with a comprehensive look at the life of a poem from its initial conception to its place as the namesake of a published book.
